Go Conference

GO Conference 2011 was a great success! This year we had the privilege of hosting 12 missionary couples / individuals who represented nine different countries as well as the United States.

In addition to these missionaries, we were challenged by three guest speakers: Aaron Coe (vice-president of NAMB), Fouad Masri (Crescent Project) and Ben Pilgreen (San Francisco church planter).

One of the greatest highlights of this year will surely be the Impact Tampa activities we conducted on Saturday morning. How exciting was it to be a part of 200+ volunteers serving in our community!

A lot of us were here at the church providing food boxes to families in need, while others were investing in children at the Everyday Blessing’s Children Home, interacting with international college students at USF, painting King High School, ministering to the homeless at Mission Tampa and cleaning at the Seafarer‘s Center at the Port of Tampa. As a church we were “on mission” during our mission’s conference. Wow, what a great day!

On the Sunday following the conference, we received some of the first pledges to the Unified Mission Fund. With only one Sunday in, we are already at $153,000.00 in pledge amounts. Our goal is $200,000.00. If you have not yet had a chance to pledge, please consider doing so today, so that we can reach our goal and enable us to see even greater mission efforts happen in the future. You may stop by the church office during the week to fill out a pledge card.

As we look forward to our on-going mission efforts, several things are already on the horizon. First, if you are interested in one of our mission trips (Russia, Argentina, France, Maine & San Francisco), contact Pastor Marc at marc@fbctt.org for more information. Second, our local mission teams have monthly events that you can plug into at anytime. The worship guide and website will keep you updated as to when these occur.

Thank you for being involved in GO Conference 2011 and making it a great success.
